First of all, to get info about a theme from a [theme deep link](/api/links.md#theme-links) use [account.getTheme](/method/account.getTheme.md) with [inputThemeSlug](/constructor/inputThemeSlug.md). The API keeps a list of themes that the user can apply. To fetch the list use [account.getThemes](/method/account.getThemes.md). To save a theme to the list use [account.saveTheme](/method/account.saveTheme.md) with `unsave=false`. To remove a theme from the list use [account.saveTheme](/method/account.saveTheme.md) with `unsave=true`. When a client applies a theme, call [account.installTheme](/method/account.installTheme.md) to signal the installation to the server. Note that a theme based on a collectible gift can only be set in one chat at a time, using it in a new chat will automatically remove it from the old one: the current chat where the theme is in use, if any, will be present in [chatThemeUniqueGift](/constructor/chatThemeUniqueGift.md).`gift`.`theme_peer`. After choosing a theme, pass it to [messages.setChatTheme](/method/messages.setChatTheme.md). **Note**: users can use emoji-based and gift-based themes ([inputChatThemeUniqueGift](/constructor/inputChatThemeUniqueGift.md) and [inputChatTheme](/constructor/inputChatTheme.md)). Groups and channels can only use emoji-based themes ([inputChatTheme](/constructor/inputChatTheme.md)). To remove the chat theme, pass an [inputChatThemeEmpty](/constructor/inputChatThemeEmpty.md). Changing the chat theme will emit a [messageActionSetChatTheme](/constructor/messageActionSetChatTheme.md) service message, and the theme will also be available in the [userFull](/constructor/userFull.md).`theme` field for users, and the [chatFull](/constructor/chatFull.md).`theme_emoticon`/[channelFull](/constructor/channelFull.md).`theme_emoticon` field for groups and channels.
